Blaise’s heart dropped down to his somewhere near the vicinity of his shoes, "I am sorry, what did you say?"

"I said Slytherin." The Hat growled at him once more, "You will do well there."

Blaise snapped, "You’re making a mistake."

"I never make mistakes, boy." Could a Hat actually be offended?

"First time for everything, isn’t there?"

The Hat chuckled, "Keep making snide comments like that, boy. You’ll fit right in."

Come to find out, as Blaise matured into an adult, the Sorting Hat was right after all. Of course 11 year olds always think everyone misunderstands them.
