Home for the summer, Andromeda entered the bathroom that she shared with her two sisters when the three of them were home from Hogwarts. She wrinkled her nose as the steam from Narcissa’s shower smacked her in the face. Honestly, could she actually take a hotter shower and not scald the skin right off her body?

With a sigh, Andromeda reached for a towel and turned to the mirror, intending on wiping the steam off.

The towel hit the floor, forgotten, as Andromeda read what Narcissa wrote on the mirror,

Lucius asked me to marry him last night.
